  2. Fall Clean The Burg

    The Love What’s Local Committee is declaring a Fall Clean the Burg from Thursday, September 21st to Thursday, September 28th. This week-long event’s purpose is to encourage community volunteerism and to spruce up our town for the spring season. Residents, families, community groups, businesses, churches and teenagers who need to perform service hours can seek out projects and implement them during this time. Love What’s Local will not be assigning specific projects, but can suggest areas needing improvement. When posting photos to social media, use the hashtag #CleanTheBurg to be featured on the Love What’s Local social media pages.   5. JCUW Old Drum Dog Dash

    Who is ready to take a jog with their dog?! Johnson County United Way is excited to host our first ever fun run! But this isn't just a regular run, we decided that in the home of Man's Best Friend our runners should get to bring THEIR best friends! The Dog Dash hub will be at Cave Hollow Park, in Warrensburg. Registration will begin at 8:00am and the run will begin at 9:00am, with heat intervals every 5 minutes. Run route will follow Gay street to Holden street and back. Stay tuned for official road closures. This is a FUN RUN, so we will not be timing any runners. However, we will be announcing some fun competitions and prizes closer to the event. This is a fundraising event for Johnson County United Way, so all proceeds from the run will be used to fund youth organizations and non-profits in our county.

  6. 4th Annual You- Pick Pumpkin

    FREE ADMISSION All pumpkins are $3.00 no matter weight or size. Amish grown Mums. Various other fall decorations. Several photo stations. Freshly made Apple Cider & Homemade Donuts will be for sale inside the barn. Check out the inside as we are near completion. Feel free to bring a blanket as our farm has plenty of spots to set up for a picnic with your family to enjoy the day. Bring a cooler if you like. Our mens and womens restroom will be open to the public this year. There are thousands of pumpkins in our patch the fun part is finding just the right one. There are paths made through the patch for wagons and buggies. Please be aware that our patch is a true farm pumpkin patch. There are weeds and all the pumpkins will need the stems cut. We always suggest bringing cutters, gloves and to always wear the correct shoes. We have a few staff members if you have questions find someone in a bright orange shirt or come see us inside when your ready to check out!
